Who He Is

Tian has had a camera in his hands since the age of six, captivated by the way a lens can reveal hidden layers of beauty—details often missed by the naked eye. What began with macro photography of flowers and a deep love for wildlife, evolved into a lifelong journey of visual storytelling.

His passion for photography led him underwater and into the wild, collaborating with organizations like NOAA, Fundación Oceanogràfic, Dolphin Quest, the National Marine Mammal Foundation and universities such as Stephen F. Austin and Oklahoma State. His work has even been featured on National Geographic: Weird and Wild, capturing rare moments in marine and environmental research.

As the co-founder of Marooned Media, Tian combined his creative vision with branding expertise, helping businesses connect with their audiences through impactful visual storytelling, cohesive social media strategies, and authentic brand design.

Now, guided by a strong foundation, Tian is focusing his lens on our planets last wild places, striving to raise awareness for efforts to protect at-risk wildlife and ecosystems. His work seeks to evoke emotion and connection, telling stories that inspire action and encourage change.
